The Department of City Development and Construction, which was responsible for providing sewage disposal services to the community, was responsible for providing solid waste services to our people. According to the policy changes made at the national level, the Department of City Development and Construction was given the responsibility to manage solid waste and the Water and Sewerage Service Organization, which provides water services to the city and surrounding rural areas. Based on the study conducted, the Hawassa City Water and Sewerage Service Organization has been providing water services to the community since 2005, in terms of water supply and work.

The Hawassa City Water and Sewerage Service Organization, based on the powers and functions granted by the proclamation, has been providing services to the community with efficient and accessible services from the four sewage lifting vehicles that were handed over to the municipality. As the city has grown and expanded, it has recently increased the number of vehicles of the organization to seven by adding three more vehicles.

Therefore, since the city's sewage collection service cannot meet the needs of the community in Hawassa City alone, private investors and more than eleven organizations organized in associations are providing sewage collection services.

New sewage treatment plant to be installed in installments

An agreement has been signed between a Chinese construction company and the Ministry of Water and Energy for the construction of a new modern wastewater treatment plant.

I. Prerequisites for obtaining a sewage disposal service

1. Visiting the company in person and registering

2. Registering by phone

 

II. Conditions to be observed before giving a license to vehicles

1. Sending a professional to see the type of toilet

2. If the toilet is filled with various wastes, it will be cleaned or the waste will be removed, especially if the toilet is a pit, if there is waste inside, such as various plastic bags, various types of soft drinks, and feminine hygiene products, perhaps if there is such a waste in the pit, the cleaning work will be carried out by our customer; Because it is difficult to flush when there is dirt inside, that is, the suction hose gets stuck inside during flushing and the suction pump breaks down, so it must be cleaned.

3. If the toilet is operated with a septic tank and water, if it is inspected by the company's specialist, our customer will be paid.

4. If the company's vehicle has previously caused sewage, information will be checked and service will be provided.

 

III Regarding service fees

IV. After payment is made, our customers will be called or serviced on the phone they registered according to the order of their arrival.
